I want to thank everyone who came out to our LARP at ApolloCon 2013 this year. We all had a blast. To tell the truth, we didn’t know if we were going to hold one until almost the last minute. When we found out that Mythos Houston wasn’t going to make it, we discovered we had room in the schedule. After much prodding from a few of our Browncoat friends, we decided to go ahead with it. So we had a small space, just a board room to host it and just a few props and it really went off well.
I’d like to thank my wonderful crew: LTJG Deborah Kent for being the Mad Cow, Commander James Kent for playing General Rusk who was assassinated rather early and he had to play a dead body and be stepped on for a rather long time in the dark. LT John Gilfillan who helped me in set up and was nagged by me rather excessively.
I would like to also thank Redfeather and Artcat of the Houston Browncoats for helping me storytell and plot this one over dinner one night. Y’all are the best.
The next chapter of the Steampunk Texas LARP will be at OwlCon at Rice University, Sewall Hall. February 21-23, 2014. Actual date and time to decided soon however, I after we discussed time and dates with the LARP liaison last year, the chances are good that we will be on Friday night the 21st of February.
