“So Commander, what do you think?  I’ve been working on it off and on for a few months now.  I think I have all the bugs tweaked down to a minimum.”  the Captain smiled as she stood on the deck of a roaring steamship on a rather placed bay.  The sun was shining and the air was rather humid.  The shore was green and empty of people for the most part.  Only a few tiny trees could be seen here and there on the sandy shore as black headed seagulls wheeled over head.  The ship was fully alive and black smoke billowed out of two smokestacks.  Two large iron rocker arms rolled up and down as they drove the huge side paddle wheels.  It was a magnificent ship.

“The program runs continuously, I have it set to take off from Galveston and spend around 5 months on a tour to the Yucatan and then back to Galveston through a hurricane.  It all runs in real time in the back ground, you can jump on board at anytime during the cycle.  You just need to be mindful about the storm part.” The Captain grinned in the glare of the sun high above.  “Well, what do you think?”

“When do you find the time to write this stuff?” Commander Rufus laughed as he stood on the deck with her.

“It was a rather simple program really, only took me a couple of days of searching through the archives for the ship design.  Then it was a rather simple matter of directing the computer to recreate the ship.”  she said proudly.

“So, this is the original Zavala?” the commander pondered as he looked around.

“Yes, as far as I can tell from all the records I have access to, this is a recreation of the original Zavala.”
