Welcome to Starfleet Region 3′s best ship, the USS Zavala NCC – 100101

We just celebrated our 2 year since our original shake down back in 2011. What a wild couple of years it has been. We have a lot of stuff to do this coming year. We’ve just published our first edition of our newsletter, the Legendary Times thanks to our new Comm officer Commodore James Muench. We are hoping this becomes a quarterly tradition.

We are planning several conventions this year. Right now this is the list so far:

Owlcon February 15-17, 2013 at Rice University Student Center, Houston, TX

Comicpalooza May 24 – 26, 2013 George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, TX

STARFLEET International Conference August 1-4, 2013 at the MCM Elegante Hotel in Dallas, TX

Austin Comic Con November 22-24, 2013 at Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX

My son can not wait to get signed up for star fleet. He found out that he can go to the academy and there are subjects that he is interested in. The best part are they are free online or via the email. This is going to make homeschooling easier for some of his lessons.

The Zavala serves South East Texas mostly in the Houston/Galveston Area. We meet monthly on the third Sunday of each month. We give back to the community through charity and service and promote the ideals and dream of Star Trek and Gene Rodenberry.

Star Trek: Excalibur

Star Trek: Excalibur takes place after the events of "The Ultimate Computer". After the disastrous M-5 Trials the USS Excalibur has been repaired and refit and given a new crew. Donations to help with the production can be made via Paypal using the address excalibur@startrekexcalibur.org
